Is Sunflower Kitchen a subscription service?

We are not an automatic subscription service, instead you choose the meals that you love and the weeks that work best for you. We will send out weekly emails as a reminder on deadline times and specials for the week.

Is there a minimum order?

The minimum order is $49, browse our categories to mix and match for your lifestyle.

Can I order if I have a specific food allergy? (gluten, dairy, nut...)

We offer dishes that are adjusted to certain allergies, but we can not offer a full menu fitting to specific allergies. All ingredients and allergens are listed in our dish details by clicking on the picture. Dishes can be located by allergies as well in the browse drop down. Please note that all our dishes go through the same facility. We do our best to avoid cross-contamination, however we can not guarantee against it.

I forgot my password, how do I get a new one?

Click login on our homepage and the select, “forgot your password.” You will receive an email to reset your password, follow the link from the email.

Can I make changes to my account?

Yes, you have three days before your delivery date to make changes. After these three days, orders can not be changed.

How often does the menu change?

We have a set menu that changes seasonally. We do this so you can always order your favorites. We also offer weekly specials to offer variety to the existing menu. These specials are emailed on Monday Thursday.

Where does Sunflower Kitchen deliver?

We personally deliver to businesses and residences in the Queens and Nassau LI area. Please check our location page to see if we deliver to your zip code.

When can I get a delivery?

Currently, we deliver on Fridays.

Can I put in a special request?

Yes, we love to hear from you! Do you have a special dish that you would love to see on our menu? Ask us! Need another delivery day for a special occasion? We are here to help with your busy lifestyle!

How do I unsubscribe from receiving emails?

Please send us an email through the Contact Us page to unsubscribe from any future mailings.

What are Sunflower Points?

Sunflower rewards? savings? points? are our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers. Earn 1 sunflower point for every dollar spent, $100 earns you $3 reward. Earn Sunflower Points when you make a purchaser, you can see your reward balance in your account within 24 hours. Sunflower Points can be accumulated for a larger savings or use them towards your next purchase.

How do you ensure tender juicy meat after reheating?

To preserve the taste and tenderness of the meat during reheating, they are slightly undercooked so that you get a tender and delicious piece of fish, chicken or steak instead of a tough piece of rock. Remember to reheat all dishes to an internal 165F.

How do I reheat the meals?

Microwave: Remove the lid and reheat in the original packaging for 2-3 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
Oven: Preheat to 350F, place on a cookie sheet in the oven for 10 minutes.

For both methods, check with a thermometer to ensure that its reheated to 165F.

How long do the meals stay fresh?

The meals stay fresh for 4 days in the refrigerator or up tp 1 month in the freezer.

Can I freeze my meals?

We recommend that you transfer your meals to an airtight container if you are freezing them for longer than a week. Defrost them overnight in the refrigerator, before reheating.
